Growing up in Nigeria’s vibrant western region, my passion for research was ignited during my undergraduate studies at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta. This early curiosity led me to valuable professional experiences, including my role as an Economic Analyst at the Development Agenda for Western Nigeria (DAWN) Commission. At DAWN, I contributed to efforts that advanced regional economic development across six states, focusing on free trade and entrepreneurship as engines of sustainable growth.
I earned a Master of Science in Economics from the University of Maine (2024), where I also served as a Research Assistant in the Market Integration Research Lab. During this period, I strengthened my skills in time series econometrics and developed technical proficiency in R, MATLAB, and QGIS. My work contributed to projects examining market and regional integration, and my research has been published in leading journals such as Energy, Energy Policy, Economic Modelling, Finance Research Letters, International Review of Financial Analysis, and International Review of Economics & Finance, among others.
Currently, I serve as a Research Associate with Distinction at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, where I apply my expertise in macroeconomics, finance, and econometrics to support policy-relevant research and analytical work. With over four years of experience in economics and finance research, I continue to explore how data-driven insights can inform sound economic policy.
As I prepare applications for Fall 2026 Ph.D. programs in Economics, I’m eager to build on my research experience and collaborate with scholars whose work aligns with my passion for understanding macroeconomic dynamics and promoting economic resilience. I look forward to connecting with mentors and researchers who share this commitment to advancing knowledge that drives meaningful policy and global development.
